Sherry'S Apple Strudel - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 egg
    1/3 c. warm water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. melted butter
    6 Tbsp. fine dry bread crumbs
    8 c. thinly sliced, peeled and cored apples
    2 Tbsp. dark rum or flavoring
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 c. finely chopped nuts
    1/4 c. seedless raisins
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Beat together oil, egg, water and salt; add flour, while beating, until a firm dough, which pulls away from the bowl, forms.
    Knead several times, until smooth and elastic.
    Cover; let stand 30 minutes.
    Cut with a sharp knife into two equal parts. Roll out each piece to a 12 x 18-inch rectangle.
