Apricot Whip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. dried, chopped apricots
    2 c. boiling water
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
    1/4 tsp. ground ginger
    18 (32 are better) diced large marshmallows
    1/2 c. whipping cream
Preparation
    Soak apricots in boiling water; then cook until tender. Mix sugar, cloves and ginger; add this to fruit.
    Cool partly, then add
    marshmallows
    and
    stir
    well into partially cooled fruit and let
    stand
    overnight
    to\tabsorb\tjuice.\tWhip the whipping cream and fold into fruit mixture.\tChill, but do not freeze. Serves
    12.
    Good
    with
    thin
    nut\tbread sandwiches. (Can add a few crushed macaroons.)
