Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. 100% Bran cereal
    1 b. boiling water
    1/2 c. Crisco or margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. buttermilk
    2 c. 40% Bran
Preparation
    Mix 100% Bran and boiling water and let cool.
    Cream Crisco, sugar and eggs.
    Add flour, salt, baking soda, buttermilk and 40% Bran.
    Add this to the first mixture of 100% Bran and water.
    Fill muffin tins 1/2 full.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes. (Check with toothpick for doneness.)
    Batter may be stored for up to 2 weeks in Tupperware container in the refrigerator.
