Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. soft shortening
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Mix together thoroughly shortening, eggs and sugar.
Sift together and stir in flour, soda, cream of tartar and salt. Chill dough.
Roll into balls the size of walnuts.
Then roll in mixture of 2 teaspoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 12 minutes, until lightly browned, but still soft. (These cookies puff up, then flatten out with crinkled tops.) Makes about 5 dozen 2-inch cookies.
