Boiled Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 lb. raisins
2 c. sugar
2 c. water
1 c. Crisco
2 eggs, well beaten
pinch of salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 2 Tbsp. hot water
3 c. flour

Preparation

Boil together for 5 minutes the raisins, sugar, water and Crisco.
Add eggs, salt, baking soda and flour.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1/2 to 3/4 hour.
