Moist Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. oatmeal
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
9 Tbsp. hot raisin liquid
1 1/2 c. raisins

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add beaten eggs.
Cover raisins with water and cook until tender.
Add soda to 9 tablespoons of raisin liquid.
Sift dry ingredients.
Alternate dry ingredients with raisin liquid mixture; add to sugar and shortening.
Mix well.
Add raisins.
Drop on cookie sheet and bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
