Super Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 sticks butter or margarine, room temperature
    3 c. sugar
    5 large eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/2 tsp. lemon extract (or 1 tsp. grated lemon peel)
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    7/8 c. ginger ale or similar soda
Preparation
    Cream butter until light.
    Cream in sugar and beat until fluffy.
    Beat in eggs one at a time.
    Beat in 1 cup flour, then add extracts and ginger ale alternately until all used.
    Beat until smooth.
    Pour into two greased and floured loaf pans (9 x 5-inch) or one 10-inch tube pan.
    Bake in preheated 275\u00b0 oven for about one hour and 45 minutes. (Baking time will be longer for the 10-inch pan.) Test for doneness with a toothpick.
    Let cool in pan.
