Sweet Potato Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. cooking oil
    1 1/2 c. grated raw sweet potato
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs, separated
    1 c. chopped nuts
    4 Tbsp. hot water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Combine cooking oil and sugar and beat until smooth; add egg yolks and beat well.
    Add hot water and beat; sift together dry ingredients.
    Stir in sweet potatoes, nuts and vanilla; beat egg whites until stiff and fold into mixture.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
