Peach Butter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    18 ripe peaches
    4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Scald, peel and chop peaches.
    Place in large kettle.
    Add only enough water to prevent sticking.
    Cool until soft, stirring frequently.
    Press through sieve, measuring 2-quarts of pulp. Cook about 30 minutes or until thick, stirring often.
    Place into hot jars.
    Process for 10 minutes in hot water bath.
