Ornamental Cookie Frosting - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. powdered sugar
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
1 egg white
food coloring (optional)
Preparation

Sift powdered sugar and cream of tartar through very fine sifter.
Add egg white with mixer at high speed.
Beat mixture so stiff that a knife drawn through it leaves a clean path.
Work quickly to ice cookies before frosting stiffens and dries.
