Jack'S Crunchy Crispy Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 box Jiffy cornbread mix
1/4 c. 3-minute grits (uncooked)
1 egg
2 Tbsp. melted shortening or oil
3/4 c. milk
cracklins (1/2; optional)
Preparation

Blend all ingredients.
Batter will be slightly lumpy.
Add additional milk if desired to reach consistency if batter is too thick.
Pour batter into greased square pan, 8 x 8-inches.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes in a preheated 400\u00b0 oven.
