English Pea Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large head lettuce
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
1/2 can sliced water chestnuts
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen English peas (uncooked)
1 pt. mayonnaise, mixed with 2 Tbsp. sugar or 4 to 6 pkg. Sweet 'N Low
6 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
4 slices bacon, fried and crumbled
3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
sliced tomatoes
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
Preparation
-
In a deep dish, layer the first 6 ingredients.
Spread over peas the mayonnaise mixture and Cheddar cheese.
Just before serving, add the remaining ingredients in layers.
