Date Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. unsifted flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. chopped dates
    3/4 c. chopped pecans
    1/4 c. flaked coconut
    2 eggs
    1/4 c. butter, melted
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In a medium mixing bowl, thoroughly stir together the flour and baking powder.
    Add salt and sugar; stir well again.
    Add dates.
    Mix well with fingers to separate dates.
    Stir in chopped pecans and coconut.
    In a small mixing bowl, beat eggs enough to blend yolks and whites.
    Add to flour mixture with butter and vanilla; stir to mix thoroughly.
    Turn into a greased and floured square pan (9 x 9 x 1 3/4-inch).
    Bake in a preheated 325\u00b0 oven until a cake tester inserted in center comes out clean, 45 minutes.
    These are really good.
