Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 c. boiling water
3 c. sugar
6 Tbsp. cornstarch
6 Tbsp. strawberry jello (1 box)
12 drops red food coloring
2 or 3 quarts strawberries
3/4 tsp. salt
Whipped cream, if desired

Preparation

Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt. Add water and cook until thick. Add jello and coloring and let cool.
Line a baked pastry shell with berries; pour mixture over berries. Put in refrigerator and let congeal. Serve with whipped cream.
Makes 2 deep dish pies.
