Chili - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 oz. (90%) lean ground beef
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (15 1/2 oz.) can low sodium kidney beans, drained
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can low sodium tomatoes, cut up
1 (8 oz.) can low sodium tomato sauce
1/4 c. water
2 to 3 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dried basil
1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation

In a large saucepan, cook ground beef, onion, celery, green pepper and garlic until meat is brown.
Drain off fat.
Stir in kidney beans, the undrained tomatoes, the tomato sauce, water, chili powder, salt, basil and pepper.
Bring to boiling.
Reduce heat.
Cover and simmer 25 to 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
Makes 4 servings.
