Ingredients

1 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. lemon extract or almond extract
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Cream butter until soft.
Add sugar gradually continuing to cream until light and fluffy.
Add egg and extract and beat. Sift flour, salt and baking powder
together.
Add
in
3 additions. Beat well after each addition.
Chill dough 10 minutes. Pack into cookie press and
press
shapes onto ungreased cookie sheet. Makes
60 to 70 when dial
is
set\tbetween
thin
and medium. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
