Navy Beans With Savory - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. navy beans
    water
    1/2 tsp. fresh savory
    1 onion, peeled
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Soak the beans overnight in 2 quarts water.
    Drain the beans and add fresh water to cover; salt to taste.
    Add the onion and savory and bring to a boil.
    Lower the flame and simmer gently until tender, about 3 hours.
    Yield:
    4 to 6 servings.
