Granny'S Breaded Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    fresh or canned tomatoes
    1 medium size chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. butter
    salt and sugar to taste
    4 to 6 slices white bread
Preparation
    Use
    fresh or canned
    tomatoes;
    heat
    until
    ready
    to boil. Use tomatoes and juice.
    Saute onion in butter.
    Add to tomatoes with salt and sugar to taste.
    Thicken enough to look like gravy. (Make thickening with
    flour and water.) Cut 4 to 6 slices of white bread
    into
    small
    squares.\tStir
    to cover with melted butter.
    Toast
    in\toven until golden brown, stirring
    often. Pour tomato
    mixture
    over\ttoasted
    bread.
    Mix slightly.\tBake 15 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven.
