Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. regular rice
    1 c. water
    1 qt. milk
    1/2 stick butter
    3 eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. raisins
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Bring water to boil.
    Pour rice in; cover and cook for 7 minutes.
    Add milk and butter; stir.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cover and cook over low heat for 1 hour.
    Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla.
    Add a little of the hot mixture to the egg mixture and then add this to the hot mixture.
    Add the raisins.
