Almond Chocolate Cake(With Mayonnaise - World War Ii) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. packaged diced dates or 1 c. chopped pitted dates
1 tsp. soda
2 Tbsp. chocolate or cocoa
1 c. boiling water
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
3/4 c. mayo or imitation mayonnaise
2 c. flour
3/4 c. chopped natural (unblanched) almonds

Preparation

Combine dates, soda and chocolate in mixing bowl.
Pour boiling water over date mixture; let cool to lukewarm.
Stir in brown sugar and mayonnaise, then add flour and almonds.
