Yellow Cake With Caramel Icing - cooking recipe

2 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1/4 c. Crisco
5 eggs
1/8 tsp. salt
3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 tsp. lemon extract
1 c. sweet milk
Preparation

Cream sugar, butter and Crisco. Add eggs, flour, baking powder and salt to mixture, alternating with milk and flavorings. Pour into greased tube pan and bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Remove from pan while warm.
