Christmas Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. canned milk
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips or butterscotch chips
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Bring sugar, milk, butter and salt to a boil.
    Stir constantly; boil for 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat and add chips, nuts and vanilla.
    Stir chips until chips are melted.
    Pour into a greased 8-inch square pan.
    Chill until firm.
