Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. Karo syrup
    1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    3/4 tsp. soda
    2 c. raw peanuts
Preparation
    Cook syrup, sugar and water to 280\u00b0 on candy thermometer; add nuts and cook to 300\u00b0.
    Add margarine and soda; stir in gently, but quickly.
    Pour onto large greased cookie sheet.
    Spread without using a spoon too much.
    Cool; break into pieces.
