Split Pea Rarebit - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 to 3/4 c. yellow (or green) split peas
    2 Tbsp. butter or oleo
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 can Campbell's Cheddar cheese soup (undiluted)
    1/2 c. beer
    1 tsp. Worcestershire
    1/2 tsp. dry mustard
Preparation
    Cook split peas until tender, about 20 minutes.
    Drain and set aside.
    Melt butter in a saucepan; add onion and cook until brown. Stir in soup, beer, Worcestershire and mustard.
    Blend; stir in peas and cook until peas are hot.
    Serve over toast.
