Nyda'S Wild Rice Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. wild rice
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. flour
    6 c. chicken broth
    1 c. half and half
    10 mushrooms
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/4 tsp. curry powder
    2 cans Swanson's mixing chicken
Preparation
    Cook wild rice about 35 minutes.
    Saute onion and celery in butter.
    Sprinkle in flour and stir into mix.
    Slowly add heated chicken broth.
    Stir until well blended.
    Season.
    Add rice and chicken and mix.
    Stir in half and half and sliced mushrooms. Simmer.
    Serves 8 to 10.
    May be garnished with either parsley or toasted almond slices.
    Freezes well.
