Vetkoek - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. cake flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 c. water or milk
oil for frying
Preparation

Sift the dry ingredients together.
Beat the egg and mix with the dry ingredients.
Blend with water or milk to make a thin batter.
Heat enough oil in frying pan to cover the base of the pan.
Drop the batter into the hot oil by the spoonful and fry until golden brown on both sides.
Serve hot with butter, honey, syrup or cheese.
