Black-Eyed Pea Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices bacon, fried crisp
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 (16 oz.) can black-eyed peas, drained
    1 chopped bell pepper
    1 bay leaf
    2 to 3 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Cook all ingredients, except bacon, over low heat for 10 or 15 minutes.
    Remove bay leaf; sprinkle with crisp bacon.
