Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. crushed pineapple and juice
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. granulated sugar
    5 eggs
    1 c. blackberry jam
    2 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    2/3 c. buttermilk
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1/4 - 1/2 c. confectioner's sugar
Preparation
    Soak raisins in pineapple juice and pineapple for several hours or overnight.
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In a separate bowl, cream butter with sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
    Stir in jam.
    Set aside.
    Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.
    Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
    Fold in fruit mixture and pecans.
    Pour into paper-lined 9 x 13 x 2 inch baking pan.
    Bake for 50-55 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool.
    Dust with confectioner's sugar before serving.
    Makes 12 servings.
