1 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
3 eggs

Sift together flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder. Blend together the shortening, sugar, brown sugar and eggs.
