Mississippi Mud Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    3 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/4 tsp. salt
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. miniature marshmallows
    1 c. shortening
    1 tsp. baking powder
    4 eggs
    1 c. nuts
    1/3 c. cocoa
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs and beat.
    Sift flour, cocoa and salt together.
    Add to egg mixture.
    Add vanilla and nuts.
    Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 35 minutes. Remove from oven, spread with marshmallows.
    Return to oven and melt for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Cool cake 20 minutes before icing.
