Stumpf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. stew beef
    1 lb. pork shoulder
    3 lb. potatoes, peeled and cut into pieces
    1 large onion
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cloves, ground
Preparation
    Put meat, potatoes, onion and salt into a large cooking pot. Cover with water.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer until meat and potatoes are tender (2 to 4 hours).
    Add water as needed. Add spices halfway through cooking.
    Continue to simmer until mixture reaches desired consistency.
