Strawberry Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 egg whites
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. pkg. strawberries, thawed
1 c. whipping cream

Preparation

Mix the first 4 ingredients until crumbly.
Bake in 400\u00b0 oven 15 minutes, stirring frequently.
Save 1/2 of this and put in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
In large bowl, beat egg whites, sugar and vanilla for 4 or 5 minutes.
Fold in strawberries.
Whip cream until stiff.
Fold into strawberry mixture.
Top with remaining crumbs. Cover with foil.
Freeze.
Serves 12.
Remove for 1 hour before serving.
