Ingredients

2 c. ripe blackberries
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. margarine
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
pinch of salt
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. milk
Preparation

Mix fruit with 1 cup sugar and set aside.
In a deep 9 x 9 pan, melt margarine. In a mixing bowl, mix together flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and milk.
Pour over melted margarine.
Pour the fruit mixture over the flour mixture.
Do not stir.
