Ingredients

1/4 c. margarine or butter, softened
1 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley or 2 tsp. parsley flakes
8 (1-inch) slices French bread
4 oz. (4 slices) Monterey Jack cheese or Brick cheese
Preparation

Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
In small bowl, combine margarine and parsley.
Spread on one side of each bread slice.
Place, buttered side down, on ungreased 10 x 15 x 1-inch baking pan or cookie sheet.
Toast in 400\u00b0 oven for 5 minutes.
Turn bread slices buttered side up.
Cut each slice of cheese into four squares. Place two squares of cheese on top of each bread slice.
Bake for an additional 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese is melted.
