Methodist Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. frozen hash brown potatoes
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. onion
    1 pt. sour cream
    3/4 c. butter, melted and divided
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    10 oz. cheese, grated*
    2 c. crushed cornflakes
Preparation
    Defrost potatoes.
    Combine 6 tablespoons butter, onions, soup, sour cream and cheese.
    Blend all with defrosted potatoes.
    Pour mixture into greased large casserole.
    Mix remaining butter with cornflakes and sprinkle over mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
