Ingredients

1 c. butter, softened
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream the butter.
Add the sugar, beating until light and fluffy and sugar is dissolved.
Add eggs. Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Add to mixture alternately with milk.
Stir in lemon juice and flavorings.
Pour in 3 cake pans.
