Coconut-Sour Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. butter flavor yellow cake mix
    12 oz. frozen coconut, thawed
    2 c. sugar
    1 pt. sour cream
    1 1/2 c. frozen whipped topping, thawed
Preparation
    Prepare cake mix as directed;
    bake in 2 (8-inch) round cake pans.
    Cool cake completely, split both layers.
    Combine sugar, sour cream and coconut, blending well.
    Chill.
    Reserve one
    cup of\tsour
    cream
    for
    frosting.
    Spread remainder of mixture between layers of cake.
