Raisin-Nut Spread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1 c. sugar
    1 lemon
    butter
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. chopped raisins
    1 c. mayonnaise
Preparation
    Beat egg well.
    Add sugar and juice of lemon.
    Cook on top of double boiler until it begins to thicken.
    Stir constantly. Remove from heat.
    Add butter the size of small egg.
    Let cool. Add nuts, raisins and mayonnaise.
    Use with crackers or make small party sandwiches.
