Fast Fudge Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. 4x sugar, sifted (about 4 3/4 c.)
    1/2 c. dry cocoa
    1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
    1/3 c. boiling water
    1/3 c. margarine or butter, softened
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine sugar, cocoa and salt.
    Add water and butter; blend. Add vanilla.
    Frost tops and sides of 2 (8 or 9-inch) layers.
