Orange Nut Crisps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/3 c. butter
    1 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
    grated rind of 1 orange
    grated rind of 1 lemon
    1 egg, separated
    1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter very well.
    Work in flour, orange rind, lemon rind and egg yolk.
    Work together thoroughly with hands. Make into 24 small balls.
    Roll each in slightly beaten egg whites, then in chopped nuts.
    Place on greased cookie sheet and flatten with a fork to about 1/4-inch thickness.
    Bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
