Corn And Potato Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    2 c. potatoes, peeled and chopped
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 (16 1/2 oz.) can evaporated milk
    1/2 c. chopped ham
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    2 1/2 c. water
    paprika
Preparation
    Cook onion until tender, stirring constantly.
    Add water, potatoes, salt and pepper; bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes.
    Stir in corn, milk and ham.
    Make a paste with 1/4 cup flour and 1/2 cup water. Stir until smooth.
    Add to mixture.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.
    Sprinkle with paprika.
    Yields 6 cups.
