Penuche Chews - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. milk
1 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 c. nuts
1 c. coconut
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Sift together dry ingredients.
In a large saucepan combine butter, brown sugar and milk.
Bring to a boil.
Stir constantly for 1 minute.
Remove from heat.
Stir in powdered sugar, nuts, coconut and vanilla.
Blend in dry ingredients.
Turn into greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan or two 9 x 9 x 1-inch pans.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
Do not overbake.
Cut while warm.
