Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    4 Tbsp. lard
    3/4 c. milk
    1 1/4 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Make a rich dough using flour, baking powder, lard and milk. Roll like a pie crust and cut into 6 equal parts.
    Boil water, sugar, cinnamon and butter together.
    Fill each piece of dough with quartered red apples (pared and cored), sugar and cinnamon. Pinch edges together and place in greased baking dish.
    Pour boiling mixture over dumpling.
    Bake until apples are tender in a 350\u00b0 oven.
