Granny Clark'S Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 Tbsp. oil or bacon drippings
    2 c. corn meal
    3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar (optional)
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 1/2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Preheat heavy skillet in a 375\u00b0 oven with 3 tablespoons of oil or bacon drippings.
    Mix corn meal, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar together.
    Set aside.
