Grandma Grace'S Cream Of Tomato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. peeled, chopped tomatoes
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 small bay leaf
    1/2 tsp. each: sugar and salt
    dash of pepper
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 c. milk
Preparation
    Simmer first 6 ingredients for 10 minutes and set aside.
    In another pan, melt the butter.
    Stir in the flour.
    Add milk.
    Cook and stir until thickened.
    Slowly stir in tomato mixture.
    Good with grated Velveeta cheese sprinkled on top when serving.
    Serves 4.
