Scalloped Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. tomatoes
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 slice onion, chopped fine
    2 c. bread crumbs
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Cook tomatoes, salt, pepper, sugar and onion together for about 5 minutes.
    In separate bowl stir bread crumbs into melted butter.
    Spread buttered bread crumbs in bottom of casserole dish.
    Add a layer of tomatoes next, then another layer of bread crumbs.
    Bake until crumbs are brown.
