Hot German Potato Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 c. chopped, cooked potatoes
1/2 c. celery
1 c. chopped onion
5 c. chicken broth
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 small carrot, sliced thin
5 cans water
3/4 stick butter or margarine
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 tsp. onion salt
1/4 tsp. celery seed
3 tsp. olive oil
3 c. sliced German sausage
1 small can milk
1/4 c. instant potatoes
Preparation

Saute potatoes, onions, celery and carrots in olive oil.
When lightly browned, add other ingredients, except milk and instant potatoes.
Cook 30 minutes, covered, on low heat.
Turn off heat and add milk and instant potatoes.
Stir.
If too thick, add a cup of water.
Serve with a dab of sour cream on top, crusty rye bread and spinach salad.
