Georgia Chewy Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
    1/3 c. margarine
    1/3 c. light corn syrup
    1/4 c. heavy cream
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    2 c. pecan pieces
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 baked 9-inch pie shell
Preparation
    Combine brown sugar, margarine, corn syrup and heavy cream in heavy 10-inch skillet.
    Bring to boiling over medium heat.
    Stir constantly.
    Once it boils, stop stirring and boil 4 minutes. Mixture should be thick with large bubbles on surface.
    Remove from heat.
    Quickly stir some of hot mixture into egg.
    Stir back into skillet.
    Stir in pecans and vanilla.
    Pour into prebaked pie shell.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
