Pita Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. yeast
    1 c. lukewarm water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 1/2 c. flour (white, whole wheat or mixture)
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Add salt, sugar and flour to water and stir.
    Knead lightly and let dough rise 1 hour in a warm place.
    Knead dough again.
    Divide dough into 8 equal parts.
    Form each part into a ball and place on floured waxed paper.
    Let balls rise for 30 minutes.
    Roll each ball on floured paper into a circle about 4 inches in diameter.
    Flour cookie sheet.
    Arrange 4 circles on pan.
    Preheat oven to 500\u00b0 for 15 minutes and bake for 3 minutes.
    Bread will look puffed in the middle and the outside will be off-white with brown spots.
    After cooling, pita should be tightly wrapped to prevent drying.
    Make half moon; slice along edge of bread into center to form opening.
