Taco Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 to 2 lb. hamburger
    1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 (4 oz.) can green chiles
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. Fritos corn chips
    6 oz. grated cheese
    1 large head lettuce
    hot or mild taco sauce
    salt and pepper to taste
    fresh tomatoes, cut in bite size
    green onions, chopped
Preparation
    Brown hamburger in a large skillet. Drain off fat. Add tomatoes, onion and chiles and simmer, covered, approximately 20 minutes.
    In a large bowl, tear lettuce into bite size pieces. Add Fritos and cheese. When ready to eat, add hot hamburger mixture and toss. Top with fresh tomatoes, green onions and taco sauce.
